Radio Australia | Officials from the WTO and the Asian nation have reached an agreement on the terms of Vientiane joining the peak global body on international trade.
WTO members will formally approve the agreement at a general council meeting in Geneva later this month.
Many nations – including Australia – have supported Laos’ bid to join the organisation, which will allow increased foreign investment in joint ventures and lower import tariffs.
