Prenuptial Agreements: US Law, Thailand Law and EU Law Compared

US Courts recognize the validity of foreign marriage proceedings and Thailand marriages, but US courts do not consistently recognize international or Thailand prenuptial agreements.

Desperate times call for Desperate Measures? Contrasting Thailand and India with respect to Circumvention of TRIPS (In)Flexibilities in the Access to Medicines Campaign

India and Thailand have taken varied approaches to ensure access to medicines for their populations. Thailand has widened the TRIPS provisions in the application of diseases that are not communicable or life-threatening. India has utilized means other than compulsory licensing to ensure access to drugs. The response by interest groups to these actions is seminal in determining the possible applicability of these choices to ensure local production as well as in consideration of the demand for Tamiflu in countries such as China and India.

Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha has become interested in helping female inmates worldwide. Many women in jail face common problems designed primarily by and for men. Under the criminal justice system there may soon be new changes to help prison conditions for these women. Many specific mental and physical circumstances have not been acknowledged and the legal instruments are insufficient for them. The difficulties are much more sever for alien women in prison under a foreign criminal justice system.
