The Thai government hoped to make a lot of money by legalizing casinos in the country. Since Thailand is one of those countries where the primary income is formed at the expense of tourism, it is not a bad idea for casinos to increase the state budget. Experts conducted a survey showing that 29% of respondents are negatively disposed to this idea. That’s almost one-third.
This bill is currently being discussed only. Local authorities have been trying for several years to pass a new law allowing the legalization of gambling establishments, but nothing has moved beyond the discussion.
