THAI-MALAYSIAN EXCHANGE OF NOTES
REGARDING EXTRADITION TREATY

Ref. No.0.16/57/45

EMBASSY OF
THE FEDERATION OF MALAYA
IN THAILA.ND
Bangkok 27th October 1959

Monsieur le Ministre
In accordance with instructions from my Government. I have the honour to propose that Extradition between the Federation of Malaya and the Kingdom of Thailand shall continue to be governed by the Treaty of Extradition between Thailand and Great Britain signed at Bangkok on 4th March, 1911, pending the conclusion of an Extradition Treaty between the Federation of Malaya and the Kingdom of Thailand.

If the Thai Government agree to this proposal, I would suggest that the present Note and Your Excellency’s reply in similar terms be regarded as constituting an agreement between the Federation Government and the Thai Government with effect from the dare of Your Excellency’s Note.

I avail myself of this opportunity, Monsieur le Ministre, to renew to Your excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.

(Signed) S. SHEH
(Syed Sheh Shahabuddin)
Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister
Plenipotentiary

His Excellency
the Minister of Foreign Attairs,
Thailand,
BANGKOK.
