China’s Internet Censorship Now Extends to Eating Bananas Erotically
China’s ongoing effort to control “inappropriate and erotic” content on the internet has now extended to a ban on people eating bananas.
Creating videos to stream online is big business in China, with popular “camgirls” frequently making up to $15,300 USD per month. The number of followers a camgirl has is often dependent on being overtly sexual on camera, and the eating of bananas in a seductive manner has become commonplace.
Videos of people wearing stockings and suspenders are also prohibited in China.
This heavy censorship of the internet in China often baffles and draws criticism from many in the West.
