A Mississippi bill that will allow church attendees to carry a concealed firearm is about to become law.

As NPR reports, some congregations feel this measure will act as a bolster to security. Others argue that guns have no place in a house of worship and have concerns it could bring with it a level of anxiety.
The Mississippi Church Protection Act was approved by the state legislature, and awaits the governor’s signature before becoming law.
