Mashable reports that Facebook is geo-censoring posts that may be deemed inappropriate by the Thai government.

It was reported that on Tuesday, former Reuters reporter Andrew MacGregor Marshall noticed his posts along with posts from other Thai royal dissidents such as  Somsak Jeamteerasakul could not be viewed in Thailand.

According to the report, Marshal, who has been banned from living in Thailand since 2011, is aware such posts are illegal in Thailand and knowingly broke the law to highlight Facebook censorship in the country.

Facebook confirmed to Mashable that it does work with governments to remove posts and is doing all it can to stay within the confines of local law.
