Men Have Right to Pee Standing Up Rules German Court
Germany: A court in Duesseldorf ruled that men have a right to urinate while standing up after a landlord’s lawsuit seeking $2,855 for bathroom floor repairs was thrown out, reports The New Zealand Herald.
The landlord sought the damages from the male tenant after claiming the marble floor had “lost its sheen” from “being regularly sprinkled with urine,” according to The New Zealand Herald.
Judge Stefan Hank ruled in favor of the tenant, saying, “Despite growing domestication of men in this matter, urinating while standing up is still common practice.”
Rather than trying to restrict men’s right to stand peeing, perhaps the more egalitarian approach would be the fair distribution of the various inventions that permit women to do the same.
